Longboarder pulled by moped falls, hurt

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Holland man was seriously injured when he fell off his longboard while being pulled behind a moped.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on Aniline Avenue near Robar Drive in Holland Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

A 24-year-old Holland man was driving the moped, pulling 28-year-old Jason Overway, also of Holland, on a longboard. Overway fell from the longboard and hit his head on the road. He was hospitalized in serious condition.

He was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office said.

The moped driver was not hurt.
