EightCAP, Head Start programs delay start

GREENVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A lack of teachers are pushing back the start of school for the EightCAP and Head Start programs for Montcalm, Ionia, Isabella and Gratiot counties.

The programs were supposed to start Sept. 2.

However, program leaders said a number of staff members moved to jobs at other schools, and they are having trouble filling the openings.

The Head Start program is schedule to start one week later, Sept 9.

EightCAP said it is trying to fill all of their positions before opening on Sept 9.
