GREENVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) Technology is a huge part of everyday life these days, and that doesn’t have to change when you get behind the wheel. Tinney Automotive in Greenville is staying on top of the latest advancements of technology in new cars and SUVs.

The folks at Tinney say safety technology, practical lifestyle amenities and fuel economy are three key things to look for when buying a new car. They offer ten vehicles that get 30 miles per gallon or better, like the Chevy Cruze. They even sent a group up to the Mackinac Bridge and back on a single tank of gas.

A new feature on several Cadillac vehicles is self park assist. It uses radar technology to tell you if there is enough space for you to parallel park, then tells you when to brake and let go of the steering wheel to let the car park for you.

Tinney also offers 4G LTE technology in several of its 2015 vehicles. That means you have a hot spot wherever you go so you can stay connected.

Technology is also making things easier for parents and busy people on the go, with power liftgate technology on the entire lineup of SUVs. Many of them also have power flat folding seats, which fold forward with the touch of a button.

Tinney is active in giving back to the community. Right now, they are holding Operation School Supplies. They are collecting and donating school supplies to local schools, and for every test drive, they are donating $5 to the cause. If you would like to donate school supplies, Tinney is collecting them through September 2. You can drop them off in the showroom.

If you’re looking for something sleek, Tinney has the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray! The black beauty has a 450 horse power engine and goes zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. The Corvette was named the 2014 Automobile of the Year and you can own it for just over $74,000.

Tinney Automotive is located at 11249 West Carson City Road in Greenville, about a 30 minute drive from Grand Rapids.
