13-year-old shot in foot at Muskegon High School

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) – A 13-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in the foot at Muskegon High School Friday, according to the Muskegon Police Department.

Around 8 p.m. officers found the teen on the campus with a gunshot wound that appeared to have entered the top of his foot and exited out the bottom of his foot, according to a news release.

The 13-year-old was taken to Hackley Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

It is unclear if the teen shot himself or was shot by someone else. The shooting remains under investigation.
