Two men recovering after GR stabbing


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two men are recovering after being stabbed in Grand Rapids Sunday morning.

The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Oakes Street and Division Avenue.

According to officials, two men were stabbed in a couple of different parts on their bodies. The circumstances leading up to the stabbings are unknown at this time, but officials said the victims did not know the person who stabbed them.

Both of the victims are in stable condition. There are no suspects in custody.

Just before the stabbing at around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the Chicken Coop on Division Avenue for a shooting.

Officers said there was a fight outside of the restaurant and a woman in the area was shot in the arm. She was driven to the hospital and suffered minor injuries. There are no suspects in custody.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
