Tornado touches down in Northern Michigan

CHARLTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A tornado touched down in Otsego County in Northern Michigan Monday.

UpNorthLive.com reports the tornado touched down around 2:30 p.m. near Old State Road and Blueberry Lane, southeast of Gaylord.

A National Weather Service crew was on the scene assessing the storm damage. The preliminary measurements suggest at least an EF-1 tornado touched down, reaching winds of 100 miles per hour.

Nearly a dozen homes were damaged by the storm but no reports of injuries.
