Driver arrested after crashing into power pole

FERRYSBURG, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been arrested for crashing his car into a power pole in Ottawa County.

The 44-year-old man was speeding along W. Spring Lake Road near Grand River Avenue in Ferrysburg when he lost control, crossed into an oncoming lane, and drove off the road into a power pole causing it to fall, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

The road was shut down for two hours while crews made the repairs.

The driver was not hurt. He is being held at the Ottawa County Jail on unknown charges.
