Consumers Energy app for kids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) As the school year picks up speed, Consumers Energy is working to take the heat off teachers and working toward educating children on electric and national gas safety by launching a new interactive app.

The app is called EmPOWERed Kids. It is aimed at children from kindergarten through sixth grade. The app helps children grasp exactly what energy is and how to be safe around it.

EmPOWERed Kids is available for free for Apple and Android devices. To learn more about Consumers Energy education for kids, visit their kids webpage.
