SPENCER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The family of a man abducted, shot, stabbed and left in the road to die is offering a reward for information in the case.
Brent Luttrell, 34, was killed early Monday in northeast Kent County’s Spencer Township. Three armed, masked men broke in through the back door of a home has Luttrell, his cousin, their girlfriends and one of the women’s child slept. Luttrell made it out of the house, but was then forced in to the intruders’ car, shot and stabbed multiple times, pushed out onto Lincoln Lake Road north of 17 Mile Road and left to die.
Authorities have not yet commented on a motive but Luttrell’s cousin, who found him bleeding in the road, said he thinks it was personal.
Luttrell’s family members told 24 Hour News 8 Thursday they are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Authorities say that in addition to the three men who broke into the house, there appears to have been a fourth person driving the getaway car, described by authorities as a red or burgundy passenger-type vehicle with a loud muffler.
