Wyoming police seek suspect in armed robbery

WYMONING, Mich. (WOOD) – Wyoming police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a Dollar General Thursday.

The armed robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Dollar General located at 3333 Division Avenue, according to police.

Witnesses told authorities that the suspect went to the register to pay for some merchandise. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded cash, police said.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled southbound from the store.

A police K-9 unit tried to track the suspect but couldn’t find him.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot black man in his late 30s. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap with plastic safety glasses on the brim, a dark-colored zippered jacket, tan cargo-style shorts and tan work boots, according to police.
