BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Officers in Battle Creek rescued several animals from a home Friday evening and are now investigating an animal cruelty and neglect case.
The incident happened at around 5 p.m. in the first block of East Avenue south in Battle Creek.
Police said they responded to the area after receiving an animal complaint. A witness saw an emaciated dog jump from a second-story window of the home and contacted officials.
