Arena District kicks off ArtPrize preview


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — ArtPrize is exactly one week away, but the Arena District is kicking off an ArtPrize preview event Wednesday for people wanting to get a head start.

The public will be able to visit 16 different venues to preview some of the entries before the art competition officially begins on September 24.

ArtPrize preview venues:

  • The B.O.B.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Cathedral Square
  • CityFlatsHotel
  • DeVos Place
  • Gardella’s Tavern
  • GRAM
  • Grand Rapids Brewing Co.
  • Holiday Inn
  • HopCat
  • KCAD
  • McFaddens
  • One Trick Pony
  • Plaza Towers
  • Van Andel Arena
  • Western Michigan University

Admission fees will be charged at some locations, but once ArtPrize officially starts, it will be free to visit all of the venues.

A preview kick-off party will also take place at the CityFlatsHotel located at 83 Monroe Center Street NW in Grand Rapids from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $15 at the door.
