Pucks & Pups at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary

LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (WOOD) Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary is the largest no-kill dog sanctuary in the Midwest. It helps find homes for dogs who just need a family to love them. You can help support the mission at Mackenzie’s with some fun events this fall!

Bark for Bling is Saturday, September 20. Fifteen percent of all sales that day at Siegel’s Jewelers will support Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Siegel’s Jewelers is located at 2845 Lake Eastbrook Blvd. in Grand Rapids.

Mackenzie’s big event is Pups and Pucks on Monday, October 13. The Grand Rapids Griffins team and coach will participate to walk adoptable dogs around the Mackenzie’s property. There will be food, a silent auction, bake sale, hay rides, pumpkin painting, farm animal petting zoo, pet costume contest and more! It’s from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary at 8935 Thompson Road in Lake Odessa.

One of the adoptable dogs at Mackenzie’s is the adorable Jean Luc. He is a Chihuahua and miniature pinscher mix. The adoption process involves three visits with the dog of your choice, including a visit at your home. The fee is $150. Call Mackenzie’s or visit their website for more information.
