BCPD: Woman stabbed in head, suspect arrested

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) – A man has been arrest after police say he stabbed a woman in the head Saturday.

Battle Creek Police Officers were called to the first block of East Goguac Street in Battle Creek around 5:30 p.m. on report of a stabbing.

When police arrived, they found a 30-year-old woman who had stab wounds to the head.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 62-year-old man, was arrested. He had minor cuts to his hands.

He will be facing assault with intent to murder charges, according to a Battle Creek Police Department news release.

Police say the victim and suspect have a domestic relationship.
