Man arrested after allegedly hitting neighbor with shovel

DELTON, Mich. (WOOD) – A Delton man is in custody after allegedly assaulting his neighbor, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a home at 7149 Pike Road around 10 p.m. Friday on a report that a man hit his neighbor in the head with a shovel during a dispute.

The victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

The suspect was arrested and is being held at the Barry Count Jail awaiting arraignment.
