PD: Would-be robbers fire gun

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Kalamazoo Township are looking for the three people who fired a gun while apprently trying to rob a gas station.

It happened around 11:35 p.m. Friday at the Marathon on W. Main Street at Dartmouth Street, according to the Kalamazoo Township Police Department.

After the three men — all of whom were wearing dark clothing and masks — entered the gas station, one immediately showed and then fired a handgun. The clerk ran out of the room.

The suspects took off on foot without stealing anything.

No one was hurt.

A K-9 was brought in from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety to search for the suspects, but they were not found.
