ArtPrize winner returns with new piece

"Elephant Whirlpool" by Adonna Khare

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) In October, another ArtPrize winner was added to an exclusive, and extremely talented, list of artists. One of those artists, 2012 winner Adonna Khare, is back in West Michigan for some exciting events.

The Grand Rapids Art Museum just debuted a new piece by Khare called “Elephant Whirlpool.” The piece took about nine months to create. Since winning ArtPrize, Khare says she’s realizing her dream of owning her own studio and being a full-time artist.

She is back in West Michigan for some events at the Grand Rapids Art Museum:

$5 for members, $10 for non-members

Creativity Uncorked
Friday, November 7
Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
Workshop at 7 p.m.
$50 for members, $55 for non-members
