SB US-131 reopens north of Rockford

ALGOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – The southbound lanes of US-131 have reopened between Cedar Springs and Rockford after they were closed due to a crash, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The lanes were blocked at 14 Mile Road, which is also known as M-57, not long after 11 a.m.

A total of 11 vehicles were involved in the crash, according to MDOT.

The highway was shut down for about two hours as wrecker crews worked to clear the lanes.
