GR West Catholic gets grant from Wege Foundation

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Grand Rapids West Catholic High School announced Thursday it has received a $125,000 grant from the Wege Foundation.

The grant will help fund tuition assistance and the school’s robotics and pre-engineering programs.

The high school has a For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology robotics team for West Catholic students.

Now the school has expanded to include two FIRST middle school teams and four elementary Lego League teams with students from fifteen area schools.

FIRST’s mission is to show students that science, technology and problem solving are fun, rewarding and can lead to successful careers.
