Sheriff’s Dept.: 24 reported home invasions in Kent Co.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is urging residents to lock their doors due to a recent increase in home invasions.

There have been 24 reported home invasions since Nov. 1 in Plainfield, Cannon, Ada, Cascade and Grand Rapids Townships, according to deputies.

All of these home invasions are under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau.

Authorities recommend everyone to keep their doors locked, use dead bolts whenever possible and do not leave valuables inside your vehicles.

If you see any suspicious person or vehicle, please call the Sheriff’s Department at 616.632.6100.
