OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo sheriff deputies are looking into who is using fake $100 bills at area retail stores.
Deputies say several retailers in the West Main St. shopping area called them Friday afternoon to report cases of fraud.
Authorities say someone used the counterfeit bills to purchase various items.
Right now, the Kalamazoo Sheriff’s Department says there are five separate cases involving counterfeit $100 bills.
One of the suspects is described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20’s wearing a New York Yankees coat.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
