WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) — The Secret Service arrested a Michigan woman who had a gun on her outside the White House.
A Secret Service spokesman said agents saw the woman near the North Lawn of the White House with a holstered gun under her shirt Thursday night.
She was taking part in a demonstration while President Barack Obama was completing a televised address on immigration reform inside.
The woman, 23-year-old April Lenhart, is from Mount Morris, Michigan, which is north of Flint.
Lenhart is facing a number of charges including carrying a pistol without a license.
The Secret Service said she was not cooperating with their investigation.
