Local Grand Rapids area business

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The holiday shopping season is about to get under way in a big way! Black Friday is fast approaching, but there is a way you can keep your dollars in the community by skipping the long lines and heading out the next day, on Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday is a nationwide effort to encourage shoppers to buy items at local businesses. Local First says shopping local supports the community, creates jobs, and is a fun and enjoyable holiday experience. When you support a locally owned business, 73% more money stays in the community.

Most small businesses are participating in Small Business Saturday including Gazelle Sports. Gazelle is a Certified Benefit Corporation, which means it provides support for employees, customers and community and will work to attain environmental sustainability.
