Teen cited after driving lawn tractor on roadway

PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) – A 19-year-old Paw Paw man driving a lawn tractor was pulled over and cited after deputies found out he has never had a valid driver’s license.

A Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputy noticed the man driving a lawn tractor down the middle of St. Joseph Street near Liberty Street Saturday afternoon in the Village of Paw Paw.

When the deputy stopped the driver to ask why he was driving a lawn tractor, the teen admitted he does not and has never had a valid license. He also told authorities he drives the lawn mower as a means of transportation.

The teen was cited and released for operating a vehicle without a valid license on a public roadway.
