Man arrested in Holland Township stabbing

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A Holland man accused of stabbing another man last Sunday has been arrested, according to Ottawa County sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.

The stabbing occurred around 3:25 a.m. during a party at a home in the 400 block of James Gate Court in Holland Township.

The 27-year-old man, whose name won’t be released until he’s arraigned, was arrested on an assault charge after investigators interviewed several witnesses who were at the party, Bennett said.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, is still recovering at the hospital. He was originally in critical condition but his condition has improved, according to Bennett.

The suspect is also facing a habitual offender charge. He’s being held in jail on a $250,000 bond.
