2 seriously injured in crash with semi-truck

THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) – A Grand Rapids man and his son are recovering after being involved in a crash Friday.

The crash happened at the intersection of US-131 and M-60 around 11 p.m. near Three Rivers.

A semi-truck, driven by Sejfudin Pargan, 38, of Lansing, was heading southbound on US-131 when he hit a vehicle traveling eastbound on M-60.

Pargan was not injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old Mark Thompson of Grand Rapid, and two passengers were injured.

Thompson and his son, Sean Thompson, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The other passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and was later released.

The intersection was shut-down for nearly 4 hours while crews worked to clean-up the scene.
