Salvation Army: So many ways to give….

Salvation Army recipient now volunteers.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) — The Salvation Army offers much needed services worldwide and especially right here in West Michigan.

There are so many ways to donate to this great organization, such as item donations & financial support. However, volunteering your time is one of the greatest gifts you can give, and it also gives back to yourself as well.

There are so many ways to help and volunteer all year round. Are you great with children or youth? You may thrive in one of the many opportunities such as with kids club, tutoring, reading club, or basketball programs. Would you like to return the favor of previous mentors and participate in helping senior’s by being a driver, teacher, companion, or doing yard work? Also, there are volunteers needed for tax prep, emergency disaster services, and of course the food pantry.

Every time you pass a bell ringer for the red kettle, help make all these services possible and give a donation- no matter how big or small, every donation helps. Also, support the Angel Tree toy drive and make a child’s Christmas memorable with just one gift.

The possibilities are endless, and together we can all help keep this organization going strong!
