2 taken to the hospital after crash

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) – Two people, including a 9-year-old, were taken to the hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash Friday.

It happened around 4 p.m. near the intersection of West Randall Street and Eastmanville Street in Coopersville.

A car, driven by 36-year-old Benjamin Nobert, was traveling south on Eastmanville Street when he stop at the intersection then proceed on, driving into the path of a vehicle driving on West Randall Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Nobert was seriously injured in the crash. His 9-year-old passenger, Maddi Nobert, suffered minor injuries. They both were taken to the hospital.

The other driver involved in the crash, 72-year-old James Arendus, was not injured.
