Help for the homeless at Well House

Well House in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) An organized effort is under way to get homeless people into newly renovated, safe places to live.

Well House provides affordable housing for people living on the street or in shelters. The organization purchases vacant homes and renovates. The program is open to anyone, regardless of situation or criminal past. All residents are required to sign a lease and pay rent.

The homes through Well House are completely renovated, so they are always in need of items to help make them more like home. They accept donations like furniture, linens, accessories for bathrooms, cleaning products, kitchen items, and more. Check out their Amazon wish list for a complete list. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Well House at 600 Cass SE in Grand Rapids.
