Making the American Dream come true

A home being renovated

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) About 35% of Americans don’t own their home. For many people, that’s the American Dream. Dreams are coming true for a Grand Rapids woman through Habitat for Humanity of Kent County and DeGraaf Interiors.

Habitat for Humanity has a program called Women Build. They put together a team of women who help build or renovate a home through Habitat for Humanity. They are working on a house in Grand Rapids right now for a woman and her four children.

DeGraaf Interiors has been working with Habitat for Humanity for years, providing materials and manpower for projects. DeGraaf is known for outstanding work with the Parade of Homes, among other projects.

If you’re looking to do some updating of your own home in the year ahead, you can get ideas and great advice at any of DeGraaf’s three locations: Hudsonville, Cascade, and Grand Rapids.
