GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids transitional housing facility that helps men get back on their feet is asking for the public’s help to provide blankets and pillows for the winter.
Exodus Place provides a place to stay for men coming out of homelessness and homeless veterans. It also offers workforce development programs to help them find a job and transition into more permanent housing. Their motto is a “hand up” not a “handout”.
There are currently 90 men staying at Exodus Place and organizers said they see 900 men come through their doors every year.
Exodus Place is currently in need of blankets and pillows to help make it through the winter months.
People who want to donate can drop off pillows and blankets at the facility, located at 322 Front Avenue SW. Exodus Place is a non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible.
