Kids helping kids with 100 tables

Students making mosaic tables

ZEELAND, Mich. (WOOD) Kids are helping kids through a fun and unique project at Creekside Middle School. Students are taking tables purchased at garage sales, thrift stores, and from donations and refurbishing them. The project is being done in art classrooms, incorporated with lessons like geometry and computers.

The goal is to sell the tables and use the money to help families in need at Creekside. Last year, the sale of two tables generated $600. Teachers say the kids are excited about the idea of helping their friends.
