Man sentenced for crime spree stabbing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been sentenced for a July stabbing that kicked off a trio’s multicounty crime spree.

Daniel Leussenkamp, 26, was sentenced Monday to between 32 and 70 years for armed robbery and assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Those sentences will run consecutively a sentence for violating his parole.

In November, Leussenkamp pleaded no contest to those two charges for robbing and stabbing a man at a Wyoming motel. Two other charges against him were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Also allegedly involved in the stabbing where Kevin Seely and Kimberly Wonsey. The three then carjacked a woman in Greenville, and are accusing of assaulting and robbing another woman in the Detroit area.

Leussenkamp has already been sentenced to up to 30 years in prison for the carjacking.
