Standoff suspect arraigned on 8 charges

SHELBYVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) – The suspect involved in a standoff near Shelbyville Monday has been arraigned on eight charges.

James Aaron Harrington, 23, was arraigned Tuesday in the 57th District Court in Allegan County.

Harrington is being charged with armed robbery, breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, two counts of unlawful driving away of an automobile, fleeing and eluding, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to an Allegan County Sheriff’s Office news release.

He is currently being held on a bond of $50,000 in the Allegan County Jail.
