GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — More than 150 entrepreneurs, designers and developers will participate in the sixth annual Startup Weekend in Grand Rapids.
Participants will take part in a 54-hour marathon to turn ideas into new business ventures.
Thirty ideas are pitched Friday night and the ten most popular ideas will move ahead. After groups are formed, the rest of the weekend will be spent formulating the ideas with the help of mentors and seasoned startup entrepreneurs.
The winning team will be announced Sunday.
The event runs from 5:30 p.m. Friday through 9 p.m. Sunday at Start Garden which is located at 50 Louis St. NW. There are a few spots still open.
