GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The 25th annual Charity Ball for Children will take place on January 31. The event is held every year by the Kent County Medical Society Alliance, which selects two organizations every year to receive the proceeds raised by the event. This year’s organizations are:
The Kent County Medical Society Alliance is a service organization made up of physicians’ spouses. The group focuses on health-related needs in the community, especially those affecting women and children.
In its 24 years, the Charity Ball has raised more than $1.2 million dollars to help support more than 28 different charities in the greater Kent County area. This year, they hope to raise at least $60,000.
The 25th annual Charity Ball is on Saturday, January 31 at Cheney Place in downtown Grand Rapids. The evening starts at 6 p.m. and includes silent and live auctions, dinner, dessert, and dancing.
