HOLLAND. Mich. (WOOD) – Tulip Time has announced a new headliner for its 2015 entertainment lineup after the original headliner had to cancel his performance.

Comedian Bill Engvall had to cancel his May 8 performance in Holland due to a scheduling conflict with his son’s graduation in Arizona, according to a release from Tulip Time.

However, festival organizers have already announced Engvall’s replacement: comedian and actor Bob Newhart.

Newhart has been in the entertainment business for decades, starring most notably in “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart” — two award-winning television series. Recently, Newhart has had memorable roles in the movie “Elf” and “The Big Bang Theory” on the small screen.

Newhart’s performance will take place at Central Wesleyan Auditorim with opener Cici Gramer, according to the release.

Anyone who had already purchased tickets to see Engvall can either exchange their tickets for the Newhart performance or get a refund. To contact festival organizers, email or call 616.396.4221.
