Man charged for threatening bus driver with hatchet

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – A 51-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly threatened a Rapid bus driver with a hatchet.

Timothy McCann was arraigned Friday in 61st District Court on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and refusing to identify oneself to a police officer.

On Wednesday, McCann was kicked off a Rapid bus for arguing with the bus driver and other passengers.

McCann is due back in court on Feb. 10 for a probable cause hearing, and has a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 17.
