GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Gas prices in West Michigan began to jump well above the $2 mark Tuesday afternoon.
According to Gasbuddy.com, a gallon of unleaded gas was averaging around $2.06 in Grand Rapids but experts warned it will jump another 20 to 30 cents to a projected average of $2.35.
Several Speedway gas stations in Cutlerville, Grand Rapids, Kentwood, and Jenison areas have already increased their prices.
The gas spike has also been spotted at several Kalamazoo gas stations.
