GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) One out of every three women die of heart disease and stroke, yet some people still believe it’s a man’s disease.
The American Heart Association dedicates every February to raising awareness with its Go Red for Women campaign. The goal is to bring awareness to women that heart disease is their number one killer.
There are events throughout the month of February, all leading up to the 12th annual Go Red for Women luncheon in Grand Rapids. It is Wednesday, February 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott. Visit the website or call (616) 482-1507 for details and information on tickets.
