KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – Nearly a month after the 193-vehicle pileup on I-94, the Michigan State Police investigation into the crash has been completed.
MSP will be meeting with the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office soon to determine what, if any, enforcement action will be taken.
The massive pileup happened on Friday, Jan. 9, between exits 88 and 92 in both the east and westbound lanes. One person was killed and 22 more hospitalized.
A total of 76 semis and 117 passengers vehicles were involved in the pileup. The highway was closed for about 43 hours.
