Wyoming police seek suspect in credit union armed robbery

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a credit union in Wyoming Friday afternoon.

The armed robbery happened just before noon at the ATL Credit Union located at 841 36th Street SW.

The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the teller, according to a Wyoming Department of Public Safety news release.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen going southbound on Clyde Park from 36th Street SW, the release said.

There were no customers in the bank at the time of the incident and no employees were injured.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, around 5-foot-4-inches. He was last seen wearing a red scarf, gloves, black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
