Investigation into shot that hit VA clinic continues

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Center in Wyoming was likely not the intended target of a shooting on Friday.

One shot struck the back wall of the facility, which is on Metro Way near Metro Health Hospital. No one was hurt.

Investigators have determined that the shot was fired from a considerable distance and don’t think the VA building was the target, according to the VA.

As of Monday, no one had been arrested.
