Taxi driver sentenced in sexual assault case

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – A Kalamazoo taxi driver who was found guilty of more than a dozen felony charges for sexually assaulting a female passenger has been sentenced to prison.

A woman told police Robert Prescott, 39, attacked her in the Godspeed Taxi he was driving.

On Wednesday, Prescott was sentenced to two years in prison for a felony firearm conviction, followed by 40 to 60 years in prison on his other charges.

Prescott was already on parole when he was arrested for the assault a year ago. He is a fourth-time habitual offender.
