Find a new furry family member

Guapa at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary

LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (WOOD) Weekends are for family time and pets are often considered family members. Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary can help you find your new furry family member.

Guapa is a four-year-old pit bull-terrier mix living at Mackenzie’s. Her name means “beautiful” in Spanish. The staff at Mackenzie’s gave her the name when she arrived because she was pretty scrawny, with an infection that left her with no fur. But the great staff was able to treat her ailments and she’s ready to go to a loving family who can offer her a forever home.

Guapa needs a family that can handle the additional responsibilities of owning a “bully breed,” but can also give her lots of love and attention. Guapa needs to work on her markers, commands, and walking skills, and she could benefit from an obedience class. She would do better in a home with older kids, if any, since she really likes to jump.

If you are interested in getting to know more about Guapa or meet any of the dogs at Mackenzie’s, give them a call and they will start the adoption process.
