GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) There is exciting news in the West Michigan medical commuity when it comes to heart health. West Michigan Cardiothoracic Surgeons is now part of Spectrum Health Medical Group. Together, they create the largest, most experienced cardiovascular team in West Michigan.

The integration is significant to the West Michigan community because it creates an expert team for complex cardiovascular. The team is made up of specialists including cardiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, and rehabilitation and wellness specialists. By having a multidisciplinary team, they are able to discuss an individual patient’s needs, identify a patient’s best options, provide advanced treatment options, state-of-the-art technology, and compassionate care.

The Department of Cardiovascular Services is able to perform a full spectrum of cardiothoracic care to our patients, including:
