GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Embrace the chilly West Michigan winter weather with a fun event this weekend. Valent-ICE takes place Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14.
There are more than 25 ice sculptures throughout downtown Grand Rapids starting at noon on Friday. At 7 p.m., there will be an 80s themed ice skating party at Rosa Parks Circle with a live DJ, free hot chocolate, and a costume contest.
On Saturday, it’s family ice day with free skating for kids 17 and under, free hot chocolate, kids’ activities, and giveaways. Plus, the reveal of downtown’s largest ice sculpture at Rosa Parks Circle. That night, hit the skating rink with your sweetie and get a professional photograph in front of the giant sculpture.
