HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) – The wrong-way driver who caused a deadly crash last summer on I-96 had a blood alcohol content of .285, according to court documents obtained by 24 Hour News 8.
Heather Luke, 32, has been charged with operating while intoxicated causing death and the vehicular manslaughter of 52-year-old William Foster.
Court documents show that at the time of the crash Luke’s BAC was over three-times the legal limit to drive.
Luke was driving the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of I-96 when her SUV collided into a minivan on July 10.
The two charges Luke faces are both felonies, each punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
