GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Two of the biggest health issues facing Americans are obesity and heart health. The two can be tied together and can be life threatening. Dr. Paul Kemmeter of Mercy Health Saint Mary’s and Dr. Gregory Pellizzon of Grand River Cardiology are part of a team dedicated to helping people with long-term weight loss.

Obesity can impact heart health because it can cause hypertension and higher cholesterol. There is also the risk of earlier onset of other problems. Weight loss helps reduce those risks.
