HOLLAND, Mich (WOOD) 900 students, that’s the force behind a dance marathon, now in its 16th year. The Hope College Dance Marathon is an annual fundraiser for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Hope College students sign up to dance for 24 hours to raise money. There were almost 900 participants this year, representing about one-third of the Hope College student body. All together, they raised $182,187.30.

Area high schools also participated in the fundraising by hosting mini marathons. West Ottawa raised $16,000 and West Michigan Aviation Academy raised more than $1,000.
